How many notes are free?
Each user receives five free notes per month. This resets on the 1st of every month. New users trialing Coviu have unlimited access to AI Scribeduring the trial period.
Who can access notes?
Only the user who starts AI Scribe during the consultation — the host — will be able to view the generated notes. These notes are private and cannot be accessed by anyone else, including other members of the same clinic. Notes can also be manually deleted. To do this, open the AI Notes list, click on the three vertical dots beside the note, and select Delete.
What happens if consent is not given?
If participants do not provide consent, AI Scribe will switch to clinician-only dictation mode. In this mode, notes are still generated, but they will only capture the practitioner’s voice. (note: only available on video calls)
Does AI Scribe integrate with PMS/EHRs?
AI Scribe does not currently integrate directly with practice management or electronic health record systems. However, notes can easily be copied and pasted into whichever system you use.
How accurate are the notes?
The accuracy of AI Scribe depends on the quality of the input and the design of the template being used. Clear, structured, and specific prompts will produce the best results. You can edit templates and re-generate your note to improve them until you are happy with the result.
How is the data handled?
AI Scribe is built on enterprise-grade models that have been reviewed against Coviu’s strict security standards, including ISO 27001 and HIPAA. None of the data is retained by these models or used for back-training. All information is end-to-end encrypted, both in transit and at rest. If your notes contain sensitive information, we recommend storing them only for as long as necessary.
Speakers are not separating in transcript?
Speaker detection is an area of continuous improvement for AI Scribe. To help optimise separation, ensure that the audio channel is clear, background noise is minimised, and only one person speaks at a time.
Can I have to put my calls on speaker to use the AI Scribe?
No. AI Scribe by Coviu is headset-friendly. The AI Scribe will record and generate instant notes on a phone call or video call with or without a headset.
