Why you would want to change your audio quality

While on a Coviu video call, you can change the audio quality via the in-call settings and there are several reasons why you would want to do this.

You may want to reduce the background noise being captured on your video calls; you can do this by enabling the Advanced Noise Suppression feature.

Your audio may be echoing during the video call and your call participants are hearing the echo on their end; you can enable the Echo Cancellation feature to eliminate the echoing from your end.

You may sound quiet during the video call and your call participants are unable to hear you clearly; you can enable the Auto Gain Control feature to increase your video call input volume.

You may want to use medical devices, such as digital stethoscopes, on your video call; you can enable the Medical Audio feature to capture more audio information from the medical device by increasing the audio bit rate of your video call.

Note: By default, Noise Suppression, Echo Cancellation and Auto Gain Control are configured as on.

How to change your audio quality

  1. While on a Coviu video call, click Settings on the bottom left corner of the call interface.
  2. Click Select audio quality.
  3. The Default audio quality is selected by default. You can toggle the Advanced Noise suppression, Echo cancellation and Auto gain control switches to the right to enable them.
  4. Click Medical audio to enable Medical Audio. This is recommended if you use a medical device, such as a digital stethoscope, on your video call. Noise Suppression, Echo Cancellation and Auto Gain Control are unavailable for this feature as it is counterintuitive to the feature.
