Zedmed automation with Coviu

This article outlines how to include your Coviu Room or Waiting Area link in Zedmed appointment notifications, so patients can easily join their telehealth sessions.

Step 1: Retrieve Your Coviu Waiting Area Link

Before setting up appointment messages in Zedmed, retrieve your Coviu Waiting Area link.

This is the link your patients will use to join their telehealth appointments.


Step 2: Create or edit an appointment message in Zedmed

  1. Log in to Zedmed.

  2. Open Practice Setup from the main menu.

  3. Navigate to SMS Configuration.

  4. Select Appointment Reminders, Appointment Schedule or Appointment Confirmation.

  5. Make a selection in the Appointment Type field and enter the text into the SMS Reminder Message field.  
  6. Create a new message template by clicking on Add Message or edit an existing one used for telehealth appointments. 


  7. In the message body, paste your Coviu Room or Waiting Area link.

    This link is what your patient will use to join their telehealth appointment.
  8. Select Close to save and exit.
Once configured, Zedmed will automatically send the appointment message to patients according to your booking and reminder settings.
