Music and Audio Announcements for Waiting Patients

This article describes how to change your waiting music and add audio announcements.

How to change your waiting music

Is jazz not your cup of tea? Maybe country and western just isn't the right music choice for your practice? Well hold on to your guitar folks because you can now select your preferred default waiting room music style! 🎸

Follow these simple instructions to learn how:

  1. Log into your Coviu account as you normally would.
  2. Click the Configure button at the bottom of the left hand menu (if you can't see the Configure button, then you are not the administrator for your clinic)
  3. Click the Waiting Music tab.
  4. Choose from a range of music styles from the drop down list including:
    1. Pop
    2. Classical
    3. Alternative rock
    4. Country and western.
  5. Click Save when done!

Can my client or patient change their music?

Yes! If a waiting client or patient prefers to listen to something other than what you have selected, they can simply click the Playlist button to choose from other options.


Adding Audio Announcements

You can also create audio announcements for when incoming callers arrive in your waiting room.

TIP:

  • This feature supports MP3 files.
  • We recommend you record your message and save it in MP3 format before starting this process.

Follow these steps:

  1. Log into your Coviu account as you normally would.
  2. Click the Configure button at the bottom of the left hand menu (if you can't see the Configure button, then you are not the administrator for your clinic)
  3. Click the Waiting Music tab.
  4. Click Add Announcement and navigate to your saved MP3 file.
  5. Click Open to upload it.
  6. Once your file has uploaded, click the arrow to the right of the file to edit other options. You can:
    1. View how long your recording goes for.
    2. Set an announcement title.
    3. Set an announcement delay (your default music play between messages).
    4. Remove it completely.
    5. Set multiple recordings to replay.
  7. Don't forget to click Save!
