How to Turn On Virtual Backgrounds in macOS Sequoia
Use latest MacOS features to set a custom or virtual background in your Coviu calls.
Note: This feature is only currently available on macOS Sequoia on Apple Mac devices.
Mac OS now gives you additional options to customise the background of your Coviu video calls. These update allows you to choose from various background options or even upload your own image for a more personalised experience. Follow the steps below to enable this feature.
Steps to Enable Virtual Backgrounds in Coviu on macOS Sequoia:
- Open your Coviu account.
- Enter any virtual room.
- Click on the icon in the menu bar (usually on the top right-hand side of your screen).
- Click the rectangle icon next to “Background” to select a virtual background.
- You can choose from a selection of colour gradients or system wallpapers.
- Alternatively, upload your own image for a custom background.
- You can choose from a selection of colour gradients or system wallpapers.
This feature enhances your privacy by allowing you to obscure your physical location during video calls.
Which macOS Version do I have?
To check your macOS version:
- Click on the Apple menu in the top left-hand side of your screen.
- Select "About This Mac."
- You’ll see the macOS name (e.g., macOS Sequoia), followed by its version number.
