How to Configure Call-Joining Options for Clients or Patients

This article describes the different call-joining options that you can configure for the client or patient screen when they join your call.

  • To make these changes, you need to be the Coviu account Owner or Administrator.
  • The changes that you make here will be applied to all users in your account.

How to configure call-joining options for your clients or patients

You can configure the call-joining options for your client's or patient's screen when they join your call, such as specifying whether their photo is required or not, and/or making their last name mandatory to be supplied before entering your call.

Follow the instructions below to get started:

  1. Log in to your Coviu account as you normally would.
  2. Scroll down on the left side menu of the Dashboard and click Configure (if you can't see the Configure button, then you are not the account Administrator).
  3. Click the Joining a call tab.
  4. Guest photo capture: You can specify whether a photo is required, optional or not required by your clients or patients before entering your call. Please note that this affects all calls excluding Waiting Area calls as no photo is ever needed there.
  5. Make last name mandatory: You can make last names mandatory to be supplied by your clients or patients before entering your call by clicking the toggle button. This option is disabled by default.
  6. Enable video preview on entry fields page: When enabled, your clients or patients will be able to preview their video feed on the entry fields page (where they would be entering their first name, last name, etc.) This option is enabled by default.
  7. Enable microphone and camera controls for waiting guests: When enabled, your clients or patients have the option to mute their microphone and/or camera while waiting in the Waiting Room. This option is enabled by default.
  8. Click Save to save your changes.
