What is the PCL-5 Assessment?

The PCL-5 is a widely used DSM-correspondent self-report measure of PTSD symptoms.

A simple, digital form makes it quick and easy for clients to self-administer the questionnaire. Responses are automatically scored and interpreted in real-time, so you can see the results.

Results are neatly stored in a downloadable PDF format for offline viewing and backed-up in Coviu’s cloud storage.

The app is available for just $2.50 per month, per Coviu account (unlimited assessments and users).


How do I install the PCL-5 App?

  • This installation section only applies to those customers on our Essentials, Starter and Premium plans.
  • If your organisation has purchased an Enterprise plan, then the App may alreayd be installed in your clinic or you may need to speak to your Clinic Administrator to have the app added.

  1. Log in to your Coviu account as you normally would. If you do not yet have an account, you can sign up here.
  2. Click APPS in the left hand menu (if you cannot see the APPS menu, then you are not the Administrator for your account)
  3. Then click the FIND APPS button. This will take you to Coviu’s App Marketplace.
  4. Once in the App Marketplace, scroll down to find the PCL-5 App and follow the prompts to install it. See the screen capture below for an example of the PCL-5 Assessment.

How do I use my PCL-5 Assessment App?

  1. Enter the call with your client as you normally would.
  2. Once in the call, click the Apps & Tools button toward the bottom right corner of the screen.
  3. Scroll down the menu on the right and click on the PCL-5 App you just installed.
  4. If you would like to lock the Apps & Tools menu so your client can't access it during the assessment, tick the Make tools view-only for guests tick box at the top of the menu, or visit this help article for more information.
  5. The assessment will open in the Shared Resource section of your call (similar to when you are sharing a screen)
  6. You can now begin your assessment, see the below Screen shots for instructions on how to access the Assessment from within a call.

 


How to Download a Copy of the Assessment?

  1. At the bottom the completed Assessment you will see the option to Download the results.
  2. This will download the document to your local drive, normally the Downloads folder on most computers.
  3. From here, you can then save the document to the patient record in your PMS/EMR/EHR.
