How many participants can I host during an online consultation?

This article outlines how many participants you can host in a call. The number of participants depends on the plan you are on.

The Essentials Plan

The Essentials Plan allows for Four (4) Participants in a call e.g. one provider and 3 guests or, two providers and two guests and so on.

This applies to calls in all room types including your:

  • User Rooms
  • Meeting Rooms

The Standard Plan

The Standard Plan allows for up to Six (6) participants in a call e.g. one provider and 5 guests or, two providers and four guests and so on.

This applies to calls in all room types including your:

  • Waiting Area
  • User Rooms
  • Meeting Rooms
  • Scheduled Sessions

The Premium and Enterprise Plans

Both of these plans allow for up to six (6) participants in a call e.g. one provider and 5 guests or, two providers and four guests and so on.

The above applies to all workflows and room types including your:

  • Waiting Area
  • User Room
  • Meeting Rooms
  • Scheduled Sessions

Deprecated Plans

Some clients may find they are on one of our older plans, you'll spot these under the Account Summary tab in the Billing+Plan menu on the left of your Coviu Dashboard.

Our older plans do not come with the same set of features and participant numbers as our current plans. Here is a basic breakdown of our deprecated plans:

  • Allied Health + Starter plan - up to 2 participants
  • Allied Health + Professional plan - up to 4 participants
  • Allied Health + Clinic plan - up to 6 participants
  • GP/Specialist + Starter plan - up to 2 participants
  • GP/Specialist + Professional plan - up to 4 participants
  • GP/Specialist + Clinic plan - up to 6 participants

You are welcome to view our current plans here. You can also upgrade or change your plan at any time from within your account. We even have a handy calculator built into your account that will show you your new plan costs before you change.


What about Group Calling?

Group Rooms allow you to host up to twenty (20) participants in a call. This capability is bundled with the Premium and Enterprise Plans.
